"My wife & I had been trying for several years after our marriage to have children. We had 3 miscarriages before her OB had stated "you should just chalk this up to bad luck." Not being a fan of that sort of attitude we sought out a fertility specialist who began working to figure out our issues with keeping a pregnancy viable. After 3 more miscarriages, we finally had a pregnancy get to 26 weeks gestation until my wife had to deliver emergently to save both herself & the baby. Our first son was born & was healthy. He quickly turned for the worse & died 17 days later, putting us firmly at the depths of our emotional well. Our doctors stated that we should "just quit trying & adopt." I can remember as clear as possible, looking at that man & saying "I'm not in the business of telling God what He can or can not do." Less than a year later our son, Jack was born. Almost 2 years to the day our beautiful daughter, Faith, was born & our family was complete. I tell them regularly that if they ever doubt God's grace, just "look in the mirror.....they are our Miracle babies."

The church's purpose is to glorify God and make an eternal impact. Here @ First Baptist we earnestly want to show others how we are willing to do whatever it takes to meet their needs with the attitude and love of Christ, both locally & worldwide.
From an early memory both through my family and all of my church family...I’ve demonstrated fruits of repentance for most of my life. God used others to call me back even when faced with every crossroads. In fact, that’s what God is doing in mine & yours lives right now.
